Clinical Trials

The research group has an Endocrinology and Nutrition Clinical Trials Unit, made up of exclusive highly-trained staff (Doctor, nurse, dietician), with expertise in Good Clinical Practices, IATA certification and a high proficiency English. Since 1994 we have been conducting non-profit and industry-funded clinical trials from Phase II to Phase IV in the areas of Diabetes, Obesity, Dyslipidemias, Cystic Fibrosis and Neuroendocrine Diseases, including multicenter and multinational studies.
We have all the required infrastructure and equipment to carry out tests, sample extraction and processing: exam room, monitoring room, laboratory, archive and external support for dealing with authorizations and regulatory requirements. We are backed by quality audits and our high motivation in conducting quality Clinical Trials.
We also have the possibility of conducting studies that require hospital admission, at the “Phase I facility” of the Institute for Biomedical Research of Málaga (IBIMA).
The research projects and clinical trials in which we participate are evaluated by the Malaga’s Provincial Research Ethic Committee (CEI), as an essential and mandatory instrument for the authorization and control of this research activity. We also rely, within IBIMA, on the clinical trials platform to guarantee top excellence, effectiveness and efficiency, as well as collaborate with other health centres, scientific associations, Contract Research organizations (CRO) and biotechnological, pharmaceutical and nutritional industry.
